Winter Programme
The Winter Programme runs from 1st October 2011 until the end of April 2012.
Duplicate bridge is played every Wednesday and Friday. Play starts at 7.00pm sharp.
Duplicate Pairs is usually played, but there are occasional Teams of Four and Individual events.
For the Teams of Four, choose your own partner - Your other pair will then be allocated on a seeded/drawn basis.
The Winter Trophy will be awarded to the pair with the most points over 10 of the 15 weeks that the competition will be running. Separate trophies will be awarded for Wednesdays & Fridays.
Masterpoints will be awarded for every duplicate event.
The Stratified Simultaneous Pairs is a new competition organised by the English Bridge Union. This will "stratify" or grade players into groups according to their bridge capabilities and there will be awards for each level.
* The semi-final of the Suffolk Championship Pairs will be on Friday 24th February 2012 at 7.15pm at Kesgrave Community Centre and the final on Sunday 15th April 2012 at 2.00pm at Ipswich & District Indoor Bowls Club.
Chicago
Chicago bridge is played by members at their houses on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. This is organised by one of our members. To take part you will need a card table, four bidding boxes and two packs of cards! We do play for money - 1p per 100!
